Sunday School Class
Gathers every Sunday morning at 9 am in the New Building. The class strives to find these answers:
- Grow deeper in your understanding of yourself and your faith:
- – Situational awareness – “What would Jesus do?” (WWJD)
- – How to be a Christian outside of the church: in school and with family and friends
- – Learn about people in the Bible – how do their experiences relate to you today?
- – What are some of the gifts God has given to you?
- – What are some of your character traits?
- – How can we serve others and show our faith in action?
Retreats
Our Youth Group goes on at least two retreats each year.
–Pilgrimage is a weekend event sponsored by the NC conference. It is held in Rocky Mount NC. This weekend retreat is filled with Dynamic worship leaders, testimonies by youth, worship, singing, and music by the house band. There are opportunities to strengthen youth group relationships, to build new relationships, and to share God’s love. Awesome speakers share their journey with the youth throughout the weekend. There are also mission opportunities for the youth groups as well as downtime. The weekend wraps up with a worship service and communion.
