Hey Church family!
Our youth room has undergone a minor facelift with the design and layout. We added one of our favorite scriptures and blessings to the wall and arranged the room to be engaging from all angels and aspects. It is a place where the young feel at home with one another as they live, love, learn and fellowship together. We will be growing in our knowledge of the absolute basics of our Christian faith!
Please continue your prayers for our children, youth, families and dedicated volunteers. This is what kingdom work look like my friends!! I know God is beaming. Imagine all of the wonderful adventures He has in store for our future here at Camp UMC. To God be the Glory!
Peace,Pastor Sheena Cartrette
Our mission is to encourage one another in their relationship with God, to provide opportunities in the areas of spiritual growth, social interaction, Christian service and Bible study. To accept youth where they are and to challenge them to God’s call to service in their church and community.
(United Methodist Youth Fellowship)
UMYF is the large group gathering for youth at Camp. Other than Sunday school and worship, it is the primary opportunity for Christian education and fellowship each week for our youth.
UMYF meets on Wednesday from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm in our fellowship hall. The gathering begins with dinner and fellowship time, followed by a program. There are also mission and service opportunities. Parents are encouraged to sign up to serve a meal on a rotational basis. UMYF programming focuses on four areas of youth ministries: faith development, worship, fellowship, and mission/service.
Age range-6th thru 12th grade
If you would like to know more about UMYF, please contact Sheena Cartrette 910-754-4840. Wednesday nights are exciting times for youth at CAMP – we hope to see you there!
